Job summary

Hilton International Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated Steward to join our Hotels team in Singapore. You’ll help keep kitchen and dining areas sparkling clean and support daily operations with attention to detail, hospitality, and safety.

As a Steward, you’ll maintain hygiene, operate dishwashing equipment, and ensure proper cleaning of chinaware, glassware, and utensils. The role requires flexibility for weekends and various shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Stewarding or a similar role preferred.
• Good communication skills in English to effectively communicate with team members and guests.
• Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays, based on operational requirements.
• Willingness to work different shifts according to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper personal hygiene habits.
• Check & ensure that dishwashing machines are operating properly.
• Able to do de-liming of dishwashing machines to ensure that the machines are able to produce clean equipment.
• Changing of water of dishwashing machine.
• To ensure dishes are cleaned and placed back properly on shelves.
• Bleaching / removing of stains from chinaware & glassware.
• Chemical knowledge / cleaning supplies.
• Area of cleanliness & floor mopping.
• Setting of hot box & dishing out plates.
• Setting up a decoy area.
• Washing of pots & pans and sanitizing process.
• Burnishing of silverware by using ball-bearing machine.
• Manual silverware polishing.
• Handling of emergencies
• To do any other work as requested by the Management.
