Job summary

Forte Employment Services Pte Ltd is seeking a PCB Design Engineer to complete PCB placement, routing and design checks based on schematics and design requirements.

You will collaborate with hardware, mechanical and test teams on early-stage PCB planning and high-speed multilayer board requirements. The role requires familiarity with high-speed multilayer PCB rules, proficiency in Altium Designer, Allegro or PADS, and a degree or diploma, with attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with high-speed multilayer PCB placement, routing and design rules; academic or project experience with six-layer or more complex PCBs is preferred.
• Proficiency in at least one PCB design tool such as Altium Designer, Allegro or PADS.
• Basic knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, EMC and DFM, with strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete PCB placement, routing and design checks based on schematics and design requirements.
• Collaborate with hardware, mechanical and test teams on early-stage PCB planning and implementation of high-speed multilayer-board requirements.
• Create and maintain component and footprint libraries to ensure accurate and standardized design data.
• Follow up on PCB fabrication and SMT assembly, and work with suppliers to resolve production and manufacturability issues.
