Job summary

Fencing Singapore is seeking a High Performance Executive to assist the High Performance Manager in developing and executing a comprehensive plan to achieve national and international fencing success, focusing on athlete development, coaching, sports science, and competition strategies.

You will coordinate long-term frameworks, plan annual programmes, liaise with sports science providers, manage budgets, update policies, and ensure compliant operations to support elite performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a long-term (4+ years) High Performance framework to guide Senior, Junior, and Cadet athlete development across all weapon disciplines, in collaboration with the High Performance Manager and Sub-Committee.
  • Coordinate and deliver annual High Performance plans and programmes, including National Training Centre, spexScholarship, spexPotential, National Team programmes, and Campaign Support initiatives.
  • Coordinate sports science and sports medicine services with High Performance Sport Institute and other providers to optimize athlete support.
  • Plan and manage budgets for High Performance programmes, ensuring efficient resource allocation and compliance with financial policies.
  • Review and update High Performance policies and frameworks related to National Team, National Training Centre, ranking systems, and athlete selection processes.
  • Perform financial, administrative, and operational tasks to support effective delivery of High Performance programmes.
  • Manage and maintain the athlete ranking system in compliance with Fencing Singapore regulations and policies.
  • Coordinate competition entries and registrations for athletes in international and regional events.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support to coaches during major Games and competitions, including competition entries, operational coordination, and execution support.
  • Support implementation of Clean Sport and anti-doping programmes, promoting fairness, integrity, and compliance within the fencing community.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating National Team participation in international competitions such as the Olympic Games and FIE-sanctioned events.
  • Coordinate logistics and travel arrangements for athletes during training camps and competitions, ensuring athlete well-being.
  • Travel overseas as required to support competition operations, team administration, logistics coordination, and athlete welfare during competitions and training camps.
  • Maintain effective relationships with athletes, coaches, parents, sponsors, government agencies, and international fencing bodies to advance the High Performance programme.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders by providing updates on High Performance programmes and developments.
  • Prepare circulars, reports, meeting notes, and other communication materials related to High Performance activities.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by Management and appointed Office Bearers in line with organisational policies.
