Job summary

Singapore Hockey Federation is seeking a proactive administrator to support the General Manager across governance, events, and daily operations. The role involves committee participation and coordinating tasks to keep administrative workflows smooth.

You will help develop hockey in the community and schools, assist with MYSP planning, monitor KPIs, and oversee bookings, travel, and reporting. Weekend work may be required; in-lieu will be compensated.

Qualifications

  • Diploma relevant to Sports Science, Sports Management or Sports Administration.
  • Background with SportSG, SNOC and relevant NSAs is advantageous.
  • Willing to work weekends when required.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in committees and assist the General Manager with ad hoc tasks.
  • Promote the development of hockey in the community and schools and broaden participation.
  • Assist in preparing the MYSP and annual operational plan; monitor KPIs.
  • Prepare reports to SSC and SHF; manage facility and travel bookings.
  • Uplift SHF’s profile, coordinate marketing materials for tournaments, and manage social media.
  • Support sub-committees and other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

This role may require occasional weekend or out-of-office work depending on event and operational needs. Advance notice will be provided. Off-In-Lieu will be compensated.

Essential Duties
  • To participate in the following committees, as well as assist the General Manager with any other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Development of Hockey as a Sport
  • Promote the development of hockey in the community and schools by enhancing participation and creating a network of collaborators to increase hockey’s presence in the community.
  • Help put in place suitable programmes for engagement in hockey and promote access to hockey programmes by breaking down barriers to participation.
  • Monitor and assess progress.
Workplan & Sports Administration
  • Assist in the preparation of the MYSP (Multi-Year Sports Plan) and annual operational plan in accordance with the requirements of SSC (Singapore Sports Council), as and when required.
  • Assist in monitoring the progress of the MYSP to ensure that KPIs are met.
  • Ensure that all operations and procedures conform to the prevailing regulations, policies and guidelines issued by the Singapore Sports Council from time to time.
  • Submit quarterly reports to SSC and SHF on the progress made in the specified areas of responsibility.
  • Be responsible for the timely submission of reports and quality business information to SSC.
  • Manage all facility bookings made by the organisation.
  • Manage all travel and accommodation bookings made on behalf of the organisation.
Public Relations & Marketing
  • Help to uplift SHF’s profile in the community.
  • Conceive and execute plans to publicise and market hockey to schools, community organisations and potential sponsors.
  • Prepare publicity/communications materials and press releases, ensure that they fulfil SHF’s and sponsors’ needs, and are rolled out on time.
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of collaterals and marketing materials for major international tournaments, and help garner sponsorship.
  • Maintain and update SHF’s social media platforms.
  • Assist the General Admin Executive with improvements to the website, and ensure that it is regularly updated and monitored.
  • Build a network of key stakeholders to support SHF, and maintain a database of sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Supporting Executive and Sub-Committees Work
  • Provide support to sub-committees such as the Executive Board, Youth Development Committee, Marketing Communications Committee and Coaching Committee to help drive initiatives and compliance.
Other Duties
  • Any other duties and tasks directed by the EB, commensurate with the level of the post. This job description is not to be regarded as exclusive or exhaustive. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required)
  • Possess at least a Diploma relevant to Sports Science, Sports Management or Sports Administration.
  • Good knowledge of the infrastructure of SportSG, SNOC and relevant NSAs, together with a background in the relevant sport, would be an advantage.
  • Required to work weekends, if necessary.
