Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating heavy reach stackers, heavy forklifts, or similar container-handling machinery.
• Physical fitness to work in outdoor environments and weather conditions.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays when required.
• Certification: Valid heavy forklift license, crane/lifting gear certification, or reach stacker operator license.

Responsibilities

• Operate the heavy reach stacker safely and efficiently to lift, stack, shift, load, and unload Containers and ISO-Tanks.
• Conduct mandatory daily pre-start inspections and routine checks on the machine, reporting faults or hazards immediately.
• Perform visual inspections for container damage, leaks, or discrepancies and log inventory movements.
• Follow MOM WSH guidelines and company safety protocols within the yard.
• Communicate clearly with traffic controllers, logistics personnel, and truck drivers to maintain smooth operations.

Job Overview

The Heavy Reach Stacker Operator operates specialized heavy-lifting machinery to load, unload, stack, and transport Containers and ISO-Tanks efficiently. The role requires strict adherence to workplace safety regulations and close coordination with yard controller and drivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Operate the heavy reach stacker safely and efficiently to lift, stack, shift, load, and unload Containers and ISO-Tanks in designated storage areas.
• Pre-Operation Checks: Conduct mandatory daily pre-start inspections and routine checks on the machine, reporting any faults, damage, or safety hazards immediately.
• Cargo Inspection: Perform visual checks on containers for damage, leaks, or discrepancies, and log inventory movements accurately.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all company protocols, MOM Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines, and traffic rules within the yard.
• Team Communication: Communicate clearly with traffic controllers, logistics personnel, and truck drivers to maintain a smooth flow of operations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certification: Valid heavy forklift license, crane/lifting gear certification, or specialized reach stacker operator license.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating heavy reach stackers, heavy forklifts, or similar container-handling machinery.
