Job summary

Alexandra Hospital is seeking a dedicated professional to join the Reliability Matters team, enhancing risk management, governance, and data protection initiatives across the hospital.

You will support internal control culture, perform risk assessments, and collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to strengthen controls. The role also involves data protection tasks and regulatory alignment with PDPA standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of proven experience in internal controls, compliance, or audit, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Degree from an established university in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent. Professional certification such as CIA or CA is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight timelines.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical mind with the ability to work independently.
• Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of internal auditing techniques & standards preferred.
• Proficiency in data analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Power Automate) is an advantage.
• Experience in data protection work will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute strategies to promote a positive internal control culture across the institution.
• Develop an understanding of processes via risk and control self-assessments and control testing.
• Identify control gaps and recommend improvements aligned with best practices.
• Collaborate with departments to build data analytics capabilities for control measures.
• Follow up on observations, monitor implementation plans, and report to Senior Management.
• Participate in special reviews and projects as required.
• Assist Data Protection initiatives to ensure PDPA compliance and conduct DPIAs.
• Support Data Protection Control Self-Assessments and validation checks.
• Assist in data breach incident management and provide guidance on best practices.
