Job summary

NATIONAL HEART CENTRE OF SINGAPORE PTE LTD invites application for a patient care assistant role in Singapore. The successful candidate will support the nursing staff with basic patient care activities and adhere to hospital policies.

Responsibilities include attending to, lifting, transferring and repositioning patients, as well as cleaning and despatching duties. The role requires shift work and teamwork in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• At least a primary school education.
• WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) is advantageous.
• Vaccination documented: Measles/Mumps/Rubella immunity; and Diphtheria vaccination within 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Attend to and assist with basic patient care activities.
• Lift, transfer and reposition patients safely.
• Assist with cleaning and despatching duties.
• Shift work is required.

Job description

You will assist the nursing staff with basic patient care activities. These include attending to, lifting, transferring and re-positioning patients, as well as cleaning and despatching duties. You will be required to perform shift work.

Job requirements:

• At least a primary school education. Applicants with a WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) will have an advantage
• A good team player
• Documented proof of:
• (i) Measles (or Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and
• (ii) Diphtheria (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination taken during preceding 10 years at prevailing point of reference as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act with effect from 3 January 2022. Applicants without these vaccinations are welcome to apply if they undertake to complete the vaccination(s) before work commencement upon successful interview and are offered employment
