Job summary

SUNLOVE ABODE FOR INTELLECTUALLY-INFIRMED LTD is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support Staff Nurses and Enrolled Nurses in delivering nursing care within a Senior Care Centre. You will participate in activities to improve the quality of care and attend to residents’ needs.

You will be involved in safety, transfers of non-ambulant residents, daily exercises, meals, and escorting residents to and from the Centre.

Qualifications

• WSQ in Healthcare or equivalent qualification.
• Must be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccinations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in activities to improve the quality of care.
• Attend to clients’ needs and report their needs to the nurses.
• Ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of the residents.
• Assist in the transfer and positioning of non-ambulant residents.
• Assist in the conduct of daily exercises for the residents.
• Assist in serving meals and drinks, and feeding patient.
• Escort patients to and fro between their homes and the Senior Care Centre.
• Alert Centre Manager of emergency situations immediately.

WSQ in Healthcare or equivalent qualification

Job description

The Healthcare Assistant support and assist the Staff Nurses and Enrolled Nurses in the delivery of nursing care to clients and help to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable Senior Care Centre environment for them.

• Ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of the residents.
• Assist in the transfer and positioning of non-ambulant residents.
• Assist in the conduct of daily exercises for the residents.
• Assist in serving meals and drinks, and feeding patient
• Escort patients to and fro between their homes and the Senior Care Centre.
• Alert Centre Manager of emergency situations immediately.

Job Requirements

• WSQ in Healthcare or equivalent qualification will be an advantage
