TALENT TRADER GROUP PTE. LTD. is seeking a Head of Protection & Control to lead a team responsible for HV and MV protection systems design, testing, and reliability. You will guide relay coordination, substation automation, and SCADA integration to ensure safe and efficient power infrastructure.

The role emphasizes leadership, hands-on expertise in protection schemes, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver large-scale projects with strong emphasis on reliability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience in HV/MV protection systems, power system studies, and relay coordination.
• Strong knowledge of protection relays, substation automation, SCADA, and power system operations.
• Experience in testing and commissioning of protection and control systems.
• Prior leadership or team management experience is highly preferred.
• PE certification or equivalent is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Protection Systems team for HV and MV projects.
• Oversee design, engineering, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection and control systems.
• Review and approve protection schemes, relay settings, and coordination studies.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and procedures.

Lead the Future of Power System Protection & Grid Reliability

Are you an experienced Protection Engineer looking to take the next step into a leadership role? Join a reputable organization at the forefront of power system engineering and play a key role in driving the design, implementation, and reliability of High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) protection systems.

As the Section Head for Protection Systems, you will lead a team of engineers and specialists responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical power infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Protection Systems team for HV and MV projects.
• Oversee the design, engineering, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection and control systems.
• Review and approve protection schemes, relay settings, and coordination studies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technical staff.
• Support project execution, tender preparation, and technical evaluations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Manage project schedules, resources, budgets, and technical deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in HV/MV protection systems, power system studies, and relay coordination.
• Strong knowledge of protection relays, substation automation, SCADA, and power system operations.
• Experience in testing and commissioning of protection and control systems.
• Prior leadership, supervisory, or team management experience is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent will be an advantage.
