Job summary

The Government Technology Agency (GovTech) invites applications for the Chief Engineer (Mechanical Maintenance) to lead the mechanical maintenance function of the Integrated Waste Management Facility in Singapore. You will define maintenance strategies, oversee outages, and guide a team of engineers and contractors to ensure safe, reliable plant operation.

Qualifications

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Registration as a Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer preferred.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in power generation, waste-to-energy, petrochemical, utilities, or heavy industrial plants, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.

Responsibilities

Lead maintenance and reliability management of process and mechanical systems and equipment; develop asset strategies and reliability programmes.
Develop preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance; plan annual shutdowns and outages.
Act as SME for process and mechanical engineering; evaluate plant modifications and lead design reviews.
Manage maintenance contractors and vendors; support procurement and budgeting.
Ensure safety and environmental compliance; lead risk assessments and safe work practices.
Lead and develop a team of mechanical engineers, supervisors and technicians.
