Job summary

National Environment Agency (NEA) in Singapore seeks a Chief Engineer (Mechanical Maintenance) to lead the mechanical maintenance across the Integrated Waste Management Facility, including Waste-to-Energy, Sludge Incineration, and Food Waste Treatment facilities.

You will develop maintenance strategies, oversee outages, ensure asset integrity, and lead a team of engineers and contractors to achieve optimal plant performance, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer preferred.
• 15+ years in power generation, waste-to-energy, petrochemical, utilities or heavy industrial plants, with 10+ years in a senior leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and reliability management of all mechanical systems and equipment.
• Develop long-term asset management and replacement strategies.
• Lead root cause analysis of major equipment failures and drive corrective actions.
• Introduce reliability-centred maintenance and industry best practices.
