ABOUT THE ROLE

The Head of Global Partnership will be responsible for leading the company's global partnership strategy across key regions including Europe & Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Latin America and other strategic markets. This senior leadership role requires an accomplished executive with deep industry networks, extensive international payments experience, and proven leadership capabilities to drive the company's global payment infrastructure, ecosystem development, and localized market penetration, thereby supporting business growth and global expansion

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Global Partnership Ecosystem Strategy & Business Development
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive global partner acquisition roadmap aligned with the company's international business strategy and regional client needs, ensuring robust, stable, cost-effective, and fully compliant local payment capabilities across all core markets
  • Lead high-level strategic dialogues and negotiations with top-tier global partners, including but not limited to global and regional banks, acquiring institutions, e-wallets, card networks, cross-border payment platforms, fintech firms, and regulatory bodies
  • Build and sustain long-term trusted relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers of partner organizations; drive deep collaboration models such as joint innovation, exclusive partnerships, and equity/strategic investment alliances
2. Team Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Lead and manage a globally distributed partnership team of 20+ members across multiple countries and time zones
  • Establish efficient global collaboration mechanisms, foster cross-regional and cross-cultural teamwork, define clear performance management systems, and continuously enhance team professionalism and execution capabilities
  • Develop a robust talent pipeline and build a versatile, internationally-minded team with strong local market expertise
3. Local Market Implementation
  • Based on strategic priorities, spearhead local market entry and scaling in key countries/regions; collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Product, Technology, and Business teams to ensure that localisation solutions are commercially viable, legally sound, and operationally competitive
4. Internal Synergy & Resource Integration
  • Serve as the overall owner of global payment capability development, coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure end-to-end efficient delivery of partnership projects—from contract signing to go‑live—while continuously optimising cost and service quality
  • Regularly report on project milestones, market opportunities, and risk assessments; evaluate strategic investment opportunities across the payment value chain to accelerate global network coverage and technology capability enhancement
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 10 years in senior regional or global leadership roles within large financial institutions, international payment companies, or cross-border payment platforms
  • Extensive and established network of global payment partners, with deep understanding and first-hand relationships with local payment channels, banking counterparts, and regulatory environments in emerging markets such as Europe & Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Latin America; ability to directly access and influence key decision-makers
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale, multicultural, and geographically dispersed teams, with direct supervisory experience over 20+ employees and demonstrated competence in cross-time-zone and cross-language collaboration
  • Adept at engaging in C-level dialogue with financial institution executives; strong strategic negotiation and complex deal-structuring skills, supported by a history of successfully leading major partnership initiatives
  • Excellent command of both English and Chinese (Mandarin) as working languages, with the ability to conduct high-stakes communications with sophistication
  • Highly strategic with strong business acumen, combined with exceptional execution capabilities and resilience; ability to make clear, decisive judgments in highly ambiguous and fast-changing environments
