Job summary

JEAN YIP SALON PTE LTD is seeking a reliable Handyman with electrical repair experience to maintain, repair, and install electrical systems and related facilities at our salon locations in Singapore.

You will troubleshoot electrical issues, perform general repairs, and ensure that all equipment and facilities are safe and well-maintained, with responsibilities spanning from lighting to minor renovations and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in electrical maintenance or handyman services.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and safe work practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of maintenance issues.
• Familiarity with plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance is an advantage.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Comfortable performing manual work.
• Possession of a Class 3 driving licence is an advantage (if travelling between sites).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain lighting, switches, power points, fans, and basic electrical equipment.
• Carry out general handyman work including plumbing, carpentry, painting, patching, and minor renovations.
• Install and replace electrical fixtures, sockets, light fittings, ceiling fans.
• Diagnose faults and recommend repair solutions.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure all repair works comply with safety regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Keep records of maintenance activities and completed jobs.
