Job summary

AZTECH TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead the software and firmware team, mentor engineers, and contribute directly to coding, architecture, and debugging as needed.

The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership with deep technical expertise across embedded firmware and software development in a fast-paced product environment, guiding delivery and ensuring robust, high-quality products.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in software/embedded engineering.
8+ years in software/firmware with leadership.
Strong hands-on C/C++ in embedded systems.
Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, drivers, and system-level development.
Proven ability to lead teams while contributing technically.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop a team of software and firmware engineers, providing both technical and people leadership.
Remain hands-on in architecture, coding, design reviews, debugging and solving complex technical challenges.
Contribute directly to firmware and software development for new and existing products when required.
Drive technical direction, engineering best practices, code quality and development processes.
Partner with hardware, QA, manufacturing and product teams to deliver robust products on schedule.
Support system integration, root cause analysis and issue resolution across the product lifecycle.
Manage project priorities, resource planning and execution while balancing team leadership with technical contribution.
Foster a high-performance engineering culture built on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
