Job summary

TCA Design & Build is seeking a practical Construction Project Manager to lead landed residential projects in Singapore, including A&A, reconstruction and new-build houses.

You will own projects from start to handover, plan programmes, manage manpower and site activities, and coordinate with workers, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients. Strong reading of drawings and QC practices are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project-management experience.
• Experience in Singapore landed residential construction preferred.
• Ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural and M&E drawings.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and quality control.
• Capable of managing workers and subcontractors firmly and professionally.
• Proactive, organized and able to resolve site issues independently.
• Good English communication and reporting skills.
• Diploma or degree in construction, building, architecture, engineering or related field preferred.
• Singapore driving licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects from site commencement through completion and handover.
• Plan and manage construction programmes, manpower, materials and site activities.
• Coordinate workers, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients.
• Check all works against drawings.
• Monitor progress, safety, cost and quality.
• Identify construction problems early and implement practical solutions.
• Plan work sequences and ensure materials, information and approvals are available on time.
• Review quotations, procurement requirements, variations and project costs.
• Conduct site meetings and follow through on decisions and outstanding matters.
• Manage inspections, testing, rectification, TOP preparation and final handover.
• Provide progress reports and maintain project documentation.
