Job summary

IRAS in Singapore seeks GST expertise to strengthen a culture of tax compliance and support the modernisation of tax administration. You will help enhance how taxpayers engage with us and improve systems across tax functions.

In this role you will apply your accounting knowledge and GST rules to compliance, policy interpretation, and taxpayer services, conduct audits on high‑risk cases, and drive process improvements with data analytics and automation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Business is required.
• Solid knowledge of accounting and GST.
• Strong analytical, logical, and systematic thinking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resourcefulness and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Harness data analytics to identify high-risk taxpayers and conduct audits on their compliance with GST rules and regulations.
• Prepare audit findings and recommend actionable solutions.
• Provide expert rulings on tax laws and policy interpretations.
• Review tax rules, leveraging international best practices and industry insights.
• Drive process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance compliance and streamline operations.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects applying technologies like RPA, data analytics, and behavioural insights to elevate outcomes.
