Job summary

FURREST PETS PTE. LTD is seeking an experienced Pet Groomer to join our growing team. You will deliver professional grooming services with patience, care and attention, building lasting relationships with pets and their owners.

Responsibilities include full grooming, bathing, styling, client communication, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the grooming area. Weekend availability is required and certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous professional pet grooming experience.
• Able to perform Full Grooming independently.
• Confident in scissoring, trimming and styling different dog breeds.
• Pet grooming certification such as SKC/DGA Class C or equivalent is preferred.
• Cat grooming experience will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of animal behaviour and able to handle nervous or challenging pets calmly.
• Responsible, patient and genuinely passionate about animal welfare.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays according to roster.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform Basic Grooming and Full Grooming for dogs of different breeds, sizes and coat types.
• Perform bathing, blow-drying, brushing, de-matting, nail clipping, ear cleaning, shaving, trimming, scissoring and styling.
• Recommend suitable grooming styles and services based on each pet's breed, coat condition and owner's preference.
• Handle pets safely, gently and patiently throughout the grooming process.
• Observe pets' skin, coat and general condition and highlight any abnormalities or concerns to pet owners.
• Communicate professionally with customers before and after grooming sessions.
• Build good relationships with customers and encourage repeat visits.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety in the grooming area.
• Properly clean, maintain and handle grooming tools and equipment.
• Work closely with the team to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive customer experience.
