Responsibilities

• Run the day-to-day hustle of the grooming business, keeping things smooth and organized.
• Make sure all grooming appointments are locked in and scheduled on time.
• Keep all the pet grooming tools in check and ready to go.
• Groom pets following best practices while meeting each customer’s unique vibe and needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic grooming spot for pets, staff, and customers.
• Handle general housekeeping to ensure the whole place is safe and sanitary.
• Monitor pet safety throughout the grooming process.
• Treat every pet with care, following AVS guidelines to a T.
• Spot any issues with pets and communicate with owners clearly to prevent later misunderstandings.
• Trim and shape coats as requested by pet parents, with clear, stress-free results.
• Clip or file nails professionally, ensuring no sharp edges.
• Clean ears with care and precision.
• Take on ad hoc tasks as they arise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in cutting, shaving, styling, clipping coats, etc.
• Passionate about animals and comfortable handling small to large breeds of cats and dogs.
• Skilled in hand shearing and scissoring; comfortable with different brands and grades of clippers.
• Excellent communication with pet owners regarding status and outcomes.
• Proactive, meticulous, pleasant, neat, and trustworthy.
• Collaborative team player.
