Job summary

ResMed is seeking a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer to join the Product Focus Team (PFT) in Singapore. You will work closely with Production, Quality, and Product Development to support day-to-day operations while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

This hands-on role is ideal for engineering graduates who want to gain practical shop-floor experience, learn on the job, and contribute ideas to improve efficiency, quality, and safety on manufacturing lines.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Strong interest in hands-on manufacturing and shop-floor work.
• Exposure to final product assembly environments (internships or projects).
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Familiarity with mechanical design concepts, fixtures, or automation ideas.
• Interest or exposure to collaborative robotics, process validation, or data analytics.
• Comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing or quality-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct engineering support to the Product Focus Team by understanding manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Support production teams in troubleshooting process and equipment issues to maintain output, quality, and safety.
• Assist in activities related to process deviations, defects, or equipment challenges.
• Create, update, and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flows, and validation records.
• Support process validation and verification activities in line with Quality System requirements.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with OH&S, GMP, and quality standards.
• Actively identify opportunities to improve manual and semi-automated assembly processes.
• Contribute ideas for mechanical fixtures, jigs, tooling, and simple automation to enhance ergonomics and efficiency.
• Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve cycle times.
• Represent Manufacturing Engineering when working with Product Development to ensure designs are robust and manufacturable.
• Build strong relationships with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering peers to exchange information and solve problems.
• Receive guidance and mentoring from experienced manufacturing engineers and gradually take on more responsibility.
• Progress from routine tasks to project-based contributions over time.
