Job summary

TikTok Singapore is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer for the Live Platform Intelligence team, to build and optimize a real-time, high-performance distributed infrastructure for live streaming. You will collaborate with product managers to deliver features that enhance the LIVE experience for creators and viewers worldwide.

The role involves applying ML/DL techniques (DNN, NLP, CV) to improve LIVE revenue, content quality, and user engagement, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision

Qualifications

• PhD in CS or related field.
• Familiar with ML and deep learning algorithms including DNN, NLP, CV.
• Experience with big data tools such as Flink, Spark, Hive.
• Strong problem-solving and mathematical foundation (probability, statistics, optimization).
• Preferred: experience in large-scale recommender/ads systems or LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the optimization of ByteDance LIVE business and serve the LIVE experience of billions of global users.
• Adopt cutting-edge machine learning models to improve metrics (LIVE revenue and LIVE content quality).
• Analyze user behavior and provide optimization directions for improvement.
