Job summary

The Methodist Church in Singapore (MCS) General Conference is seeking a Temporary Compliance & Governance Executive to support governance, risk management and compliance initiatives for a six-month contract. Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Accounting or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in compliance, risk management, governance, audit support or a related function.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills, including the ability to review submissions, identify gaps and make practical recommendations.
• Good organisational and project coordination skills, with experience following up on action items and managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Meticulous, with strong attention to detail and documentation, with the ability to maintain accurate records, registers, meeting minutes and policy documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and engage confidently with leaders, committees and external parties.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Able to work independently and engage effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, governance and compliance support to the Compliance Team.
• Provide secretariat support for audit and Council of Governance meetings, including meeting minutes and follow-up of action items.
• Support the Risk Self-Assessment exercise and consolidation of the Master Risk Register.
• Review and maintain the Master List of Third-Party Service Providers.
• Support the review of the AML/CFT Policy, SOP and related compliance checks and training.
• Review and enhance the Risk Assessment Framework.
• Support the planning and coordination of governance-related training and events.
• Prepare reports, analyses, presentations and other relevant documentation as required.
