Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte Ltd invites passionate individuals to join a school-based team to support students' personal growth, provide socio-emotional guidance, and help them navigate challenges. This 11-month contract (Feb-Dec 2027) is located in Central Singapore with typical hours Mon-Thurs 8-5, Fri 8-12.

You will work with school personnel to create development programmes and monitor progress. Applicants should hold a relevant diploma or degree and SASW registration; experience in school-based

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Child Development, Youth Work or related discipline.
• Registered Social Worker or Social Work Practitioner with SASW.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the social service sector, preferably in school-based social work or youth development programmes.
• Experience supporting children or youths with additional needs, preferably in school or community settings.
• Certification in Restorative Practice / Building Relational Capacity is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Build positive and trusting relationships with identified students through regular engagement, mentoring and guidance.
• Provide socio-emotional support to students facing challenges in adjusting to classroom learning or returning to school.
• Plan and conduct tailored student development programmes, including academic support, mentoring and engagement activities.
• Monitor students' progress, identify needs and highlight concerns to the school's Student Development Team for further support.
• Gather feedback on students' development and programme effectiveness, recommending improvements for future initiatives.
• Support the day-to-day operations of the student engagement space and work closely with school personnel to foster a safe and supportive environment.

*No services required on weekends, gazetted public holidays and school holidays, subject to operational arrangements.
