Job summary

SCIENTEC CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned software engineer for a Full-Time Contract role in Singapore. The position blends front-end and back-end work with 2 days of work-from-home and on-site collaboration in Punggol.

Develop and maintain scalable web applications using React/Next.js, Golang and TypeScript, deploy on AWS/Azure, and work with PostgreSQL or MySQL. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in full-stack development and strong software engineering fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of software engineering or full-stack experience.
• Strong frontend experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React and/or Next.js.

Responsibilities

Location: Punggol (2 Day WFH)
Job Type: Full-Time Contract (Subjected to renewable/conversion)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern, scalable web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React and Next.js.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Golang and TypeScript.
• Deploy, operate, and support applications across AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Design and optimise database schemas, queries, and data models using PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Apply software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including code quality, testing, performance, and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in software engineering or full stack development.
• Strong hands-on experience in frontend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and/or Next.js.
• Backend development experience using Golang and/or TypeScript.
• Practical experience working with AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Good understanding of software engineering principles, API development, and scalable system design.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
