Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte Ltd in Singapore invites a skilled full-stack developer to own the complete lifecycle of modern web apps. You will build responsive frontend components with JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3, and craft robust backend services using Node.js and Express/NestJS.

You will optimise databases, implement CI/CD via GitLab, containerise with Docker, and support AWS deployments while collaborating with teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and DOM APIs.
• Experience building backend apps with Node.js and Express.js or NestJS.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database design.
• Familiarity with Docker, GitLab CI/CD, and modern deployment practices.
• Experience on AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and accessibility testing is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of full-stack application development.

• Develop and optimise SQL and NoSQL databases to support high-volume and concurrent workloads.

• Manage and support cloud-based application environments, particularly on AWS.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and containerisation technologies such as Docker.
• Implement application monitoring, logging, error tracking, automated testing, and performance optimisation to ensure reliability and system stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable digital solutions.

• Manage and support cloud-based application environments, particularly on AWS.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and DOM APIs.
• Hands-on experience developing backend applications and APIs using Node.js, Express.js / NestJS
• Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL database design
• Familiarity with Docker, GitLab CI/CD, and modern software deployment practices.
• Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms would be advantageous.
• Knowledge or practical experience with web accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1, ARIA, and screen reader testing would be highly advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and software engineering skills.
