Job summary

HORIBA INSTRUMENTS (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD seeks a legal and compliance professional to support security trade control and corporate compliance across Southeast Asia. You will coordinate with the Kyoto HQ on regulatory alignment and group policies to enable compliant business operations.

Responsibilities include managing export control in SAP, handling contracts and disputes, and delivering regular training on compliance topics.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in legal, international business, business administration, supply chain management or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in dealing with trade compliance.
• Experience in law firms or as in-house legal, with business contract review and management.
• Awareness of geo-political situation in the region.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Handle and support Security Trade Control (Export Control) for the Southeast Asia region.
• Oversee implementation of security trade control requirements across the Company.
• Manage end-user notifications, verification processes, and follow-up actions.
• Administer export control processes in SAP including licence release after approvals.
• Consult with HQ Legal and Export Control for transactions involving sensitive countries or organisations.
• Conduct regular training and communicate updates to employees, especially sales teams.
• Prepare and submit the annual sales report to Headquarters and participate in meetings.
