Job summary

Micron is seeking a Spare s Engineering Engineer to drive spare parts engineering programs, optimize test wafer usage, and coordinate across global teams. The role focuses on operational efficiency, cost reduction, and data-driven decision making within a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

You will analyze metrics, manage milestones, and present updates to key stakeholders while collaborating with suppliers and multiple sites. Travel to supplier locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Approximately 6 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Experience in engineering program management or productivity initiatives.
• Strong understanding of productivity concepts, demand planning principles.
• Familiarity with semiconductor wafer processes, test wafer usage protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute spare parts engineering programs to drive operational and cost efficiency.
• Analyze metrics and demand trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive programs in a structured and systematic manner with milestones and timelines.
• Identify process gaps and bottlenecks within spare parts engineering and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and present program status updates and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support technical aspects for spare-related issues and collaborate with suppliers.
• Lead global strategy for Spares Lifetime, CCRR, Alternate Source and consumption reduction.
• Coordinate with process and equipment teams to optimize test wafer usage and minimize waste.
• Establish and maintain test wafer planning processes aligned with demand and capacity.
• Monitor test wafer utilization and provide data-driven cost-saving recommendations.
• Ensure documentation, traceability, and compliance for test wafer transactions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain, and leadership; travel as needed.
• Enable cross-site coordination and integration across regions and functions.
• Lead benchmarking efforts with competitors in Spares and Test Wafer fronts.
