Job summary

JR Life Sciences Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a proactive Business Development Associate to identify and expand new business channels, overseas markets, and customer segments to grow local and export sales.

You will support market entry strategies, conduct market research and competitor analysis, and assist in customer visits, presentations and negotiations to convert leads into sales. Travel locally and internationally as required; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business, Communications or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development or overseas market expansion, including managing the full sales cycle.
• Strong business acumen, analytical and market research skills to identify new markets, channels and opportunities.
• Strong negotiation, relationship management, communication and cross-cultural skills to win new sales.
• Experience preparing quotations, proposals, sales reports and business plans.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), with accurate record-keeping of customer and sales pipeline data.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas for customer visits and market development.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, FMCG or consumer health industries; familiarity with import/export procedures; Mandarin or Malay is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new business channels, overseas markets, customer segments, and distribution networks to expand the Company's local and export business.
• Support the implementation of market entry strategies and business plans to drive sales growth in local and international markets.
• Assist in market research, competitor analysis, and customer assessments to identify opportunities and expansion prospects.
• Support customer visits, product presentations, and business negotiations, and follow up with customers to build relationships and secure sales opportunities.
• Record sales performance, market trends, and business development progress, and provide regular updates to Management.
• Process quotations, proposals, and business offers, and follow up promptly with prospective customers to convert leads into sales.
• Record and update customer accounts, quotations, sales activities, and sales pipelines in the Company's database.
• Share market insights with Product Development for potential product development and evaluation.
• Support other business development, sales, and ad hoc activities as assigned by Management.
