Job summary

ethos beathchapman is seeking a Risk Strategy Lead to build and head the Risk Control & Operations function from scratch. The role focuses on balancing maximal transaction approvals with robust compliance and security, including on-chain KYT and cross-border documentation review.

The candidate will drive automation by codifying expert rules into system logic and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales and Compliance to establish SLAs and scalable workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience leading risk/control and operations teams.
• Strong track record designing and launching operational workflows.
• Proven ability to balance risk controls with high transaction approvals.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Risk Control & Operations function from the ground up.
• Establish SOPs and a tiered risk framework for transactions.
• Lead review of complex, high-risk cases including cross-border trade docs and on-chain fund tracing.
• Codify risk rules into system logic in collaboration with Product and Engineering.
• Set SLAs for the risk team and coordinate with Sales, Compliance, and Product.
