Job summary

Stripe is seeking an experienced Risk Program Manager to lead the Risk PMO across operations, GTM, and risk compliance. You will build programs, drive cross‑functional coordination, and operate in fast-paced, high ambiguity environments.

In this global role, you will recruit and develop a distributed team, own end-to-end programs with a focus on APAC, and partner with Legal, Finance, Product, and Engineering to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in program management, strategy & operations, business operations, or a related field.
• 3+ years of people management experience, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguity and build from 0→1 — you have a track record of figuring out the right approach on problems where no playbook exists.
• Strong program management skills: track and drive multi-workstream initiatives, surface risks early, and keep stakeholders aligned without losing momentum.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, with experience aligning Product, Engineering, GTM, and Operations teams toward shared goals.
• AI fluency — you actively use AI tools to accelerate your work and can clearly articulate how and where you apply them.
• Experience working across global teams and time zones; flexibility to join calls outside standard business hours on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and lead a global team of Program Managers; inspire, motivate, and enable individual development to promote career growth of direct reports.
• Develop both the long‑term vision and strategy for the team and drive progress toward key metrics.
• Coach, mentor, and guide the team in program management and operations excellence.
• Build a strong team culture across a distributed, multi‑timezone environment.
• Own end‑to‑end program management for a large and growing portfolio of programs, with a focus on APAC.
• Drive operational readiness across workstreams, tracking milestones, surfacing risks, and unblocking dependencies.
• Navigate high ambiguity — this is a 0→1 space where you will be expected to figure out the right approach, not wait for one to be handed to you.
• Build repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and reporting standards to support a growing and complex portfolio.
• Serve as the senior Risk PMO voice in global forums, representing the team in senior‑level conversations across Stripe with high judgment and accountability.
• Provide critical coordination across Risk teams (Ops, Product, Engineering, Strategy, and others) to ensure alignment and execution.
• Develop partnerships across Stripe teams (Legal, Finance, Treasury, Partnerships, Product).
• Effectively work cross‑functionally across the organization to shape Stripe's solutions; navigate competing priorities and ensure clear ownership at every stage of execution.
• Partner closely with executive sponsors and cross‑functional leadership with clarity and confidence.
• Identify operational impact, gap assessments, and other operational considerations to launch in new markets.
• Ensure operational readiness across a complex portfolio of programs, including forecasting, monitoring, and last‑mile execution.
• Maintain high operational rigor and execution discipline across your team and function.
