Job summary

Nomura Holdings, Inc. in Singapore seeks a Global Markets Strategy Analyst to support and shape strategic initiatives across Nomura’s Global Markets franchise.

You will work with senior leadership to drive profitability, growth, and competitive advantage through robust analysis and insight. You will conduct market and competitor research, develop management presentations, and collaborate with the Asia ex Japan strategy team to align with firm-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a strategy role, in a consulting firm or a strategy/business planning unit of a financial institution
• Proven experience working on multiple projects and initiatives
• Demonstrated experience in producing management presentations. Strong PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
• Problem solving and creative thinking skills a key
• Strong communications skills (verbal and written) – ability to interact confidently with senior business leadership on a range of topics
• Interest in the wider Investment Banking and Capital Markets industry including key trends and market dynamics including Market Structure, Regulations etc

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support and thought leadership expertise on Global Market strategy initiatives, with a focus on strategic development, long term business growth, and overall positioning of GM’s franchise
• Identify, analyze and monitor issues that affect profitability, growth, and productivity
• Conduct competitor/industry research and analysis leveraging both public and non-public sources
• Research and analyze business profitability and macroeconomic indicators, analyze specific client segments, conduct acquisition screening, perform strategic due diligence
• Stakeholder Management including proactively managing conflicts, issues and risks, collaborate with stakeholders, and engaging on relevant levels
• Prepare management presentations including business plans, business reviews, offsite presentations, town halls
• Work closely with Global Wholesale Strategy team on broader firm-wide initiatives
