Qualifications

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  1. Perform equity research and analysis on equities across all the industries listed on stock exchanges. By working with other portfolio managers in Associate position, recommend on each stock and each sector to portfolio managers, based in Singapore and Tokyo, with the use of relative value analysis.
  2. Assist the portfolio construction and daily portfolio management operation for Asian equities on behalf of all the clients of Nomura Asset Management Singapore Limited. Assist managers to identify the key macro and market factors across Asian equity market, by conducting deeper analysis and regularly communicating with counterparties, in order to help clients in decision making on investment into the market. Monitor the regulatory and guideline change in investing in Asian equity market, then liaise with relevant team in various offices wherever necessary.
  3. Take an active role for Asian equity portfolio, which compromises of the bulk of our assets under management and provide customized solutions for different funds with different characteristics.
  4. Prepare the draft of periodical and ad-hock performance and portfolio analysis report of Asian equity portfolios and report to senior managers.
  5. Product management experiences in global equities, global fixed income, and Japanese equities. Experienced in overseas client relations, due diligence, performance reporting, and product communication.
  6. Gather expertise on other, especially related equity markets, as well and assist in decision making for these markets too. Also need to have hands‑on expertise and perspective of Asian equity markets in the context of global equity markets.
Requirements
  • 5 to 8 years of experiences in Asset Management industry with product management experiences in global equities, global fixed income, and Japanese equities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in equity research covering diverse industry sectors
  • Experience in Macro/Market (equity fx analysis)
  • Experience in quantitative research focused on alternative data such as texts, websites and location data in collaboration with quantitative analysts.
  • Experience in quantitative research focused on alternative data such as texts, websites and location data in collaboration with quantitative analysts.
  • Experienced in overseas client relations, due diligence, performance reporting, and product communication.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Proficient with Word/PowerPoint/Access/Excel and VBA programming.
  • Order Management System, Financial data services: Excellent command of CR-IMS and Bloomberg.
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese languages to conduct discussions, prepare analysis reports and liaise with Tokyo-based portfolio managers and stakeholders
  • Qualification of CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CMA® (Certified Member Analyst of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan) will be an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree of equivalent education is required
