Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Global Logistics, Warehouse and Packaging Category Leader to oversee and optimize cost, risk and supplier management across logistics, warehousing and packaging. The role entails sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing for efficient supply chain operations and collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement.

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering with leadership experience in Logistics Procurement.
Experience with SAP/Oracle or ERP software is a plus.
Experience with a Transportation Management System and P2P system.
Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
Data analytics and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the category strategy for all logistics modes (Air, Parcel, Ocean, LTL).
Analyze market trends, supplier performance and cost-saving opportunities.
Manage supplier relationships and onboard reliable suppliers.
Source and purchase all logistics, warehousing and packaging requirements.
Develop RFQ strategies and drive implementation.
Draft and manage contracts to secure best terms and renewal dates.
Drive year-over-year cost savings and mitigate inflation.
Ensure best-in-class data management for spend visibility and RFPs.
Oversee freight payment and audit provider; evaluate DC effectiveness.
