Job summary

NielsenIQ is seeking a Director, Labor and Employment Counsel (APAC & India) to advise senior leaders on complex labor and employment matters across multiple jurisdictions. You will collaborate with HR, Ethics & Compliance, and business partners to shape strategy and manage risk.

The role requires extensive experience in employment law, strong leadership, and the ability to influence across global teams while delivering practical, commercial solutions in a high-impact environment.

Qualifications

• Admission to practice law in at least one common law jurisdiction.
• 12+ years post-qualification experience in labor and employment law.
• 5+ years in-house experience within a multinational organization.
• Experience leading complex, high-profile employment matters.
• APAC jurisdiction knowledge, incl. India, Singapore, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical labor and employment legal advice to senior leaders and HR.
• Lead complex workplace investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Translate legal requirements into clear guidance for executives and partners.
• Partner with HR, Ethics & Compliance on programs and governance.
• Drive risk-based recommendations and support strategic workforce changes.
