Job summary

Penta Ocean Construction seeks a Governance, Risk and Compliance professional to oversee internal control policies and SAA across the International Business Unit, coordinating with Tokyo HQ and regional offices.

You will audit site and branch offices, train staff, and ensure alignment with corporate directives, while liaising with Singapore, Japan and other IBU teams to maintain independence and objectivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 1–2 years of internal control, audit, or compliance experience.
• Business knowledge of construction and international exposure desirable.
• Japanese language skill (JLPT N2/N1) desirable.
• Experience with data visualisation tools is a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical and writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Regular review, maintenance and update of internal control policies, SAA and other governance/workflows for offices across the IBU.
• Ensure compliance with internal control policies and Tokyo HQ directives across the IBU.
• Design, plan and conduct regular audits on site and branch offices across IBU countries.
• Collaborate with counterparts in Singapore, Japan and IBU countries; liaise with local and Japanese admin staff.
• Lead education and learning of internal control systems and monitor learning effectiveness.
• Liaise with the Audit Division in Japan and support audit operations in IBU.
• Work with Legal/Accounting teams in Tokyo HQ to improve control rules across IBU.
• Prepare periodic updates and reports for Tokyo HQ.
