Job summary

ROYAL OCEAN MARINE ENTERPRISE PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned freight trading professional to lead market analysis, source and execute chartering deals, and manage risk across dry bulk and tanker segments in Singapore.

You will build and maintain a global counterparty network, structure trades, and optimize voyage economics. The role requires 3–7 years in freight trading or related desk roles, deep knowledge of charter parties, and a strong numerical skillset to evaluate trade profitability and

Qualifications

3–7 years of freight trading, physical chartering, or related desk roles in a commodity trading house, shipowning firm, or operator.
Deep understanding of global maritime trade flows and charter party agreements (GENCON, NYPE, Shelltime).
Strong financial and numerical literacy with freight calculations and risk/reward assessments.
Familiarity with FFA trading, bunker hedging strategies, or broader commodity derivatives is advantageous.
Proven ability to close high‑value commercial transactions and manage multiple fixtures simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Actively track and analyze global/regional freight markets and macro drivers to identify arbitrage and trading opportunities.
Source, structure, and execute dry bulk/tanker freight transactions (voyage and time charters) to optimize portfolio risk and margins.
Cultivate and leverage strong commercial relationships with shipowners, charterers, operators, and brokers worldwide.
