Job summary

Well-Established Marine & Offshore Engineering and Shipyard MNC is seeking an Accountant to manage month-end closings for Singapore and Saudi Arabia, review GL postings, prepare audit schedules and support statutory audits. The role includes tax compliance, VAT returns, and intercompany accounting.

Travel to Saudi Arabia/Middle East is involved, with company transport provided. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, a minimum of three years’ regional or multinational

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of accounting/finance experience in a regional or multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore FRS/IFRS, GST and corporate taxation.
• Experience in statutory audit, financial reporting and tax compliance across multiple entities.
• Experience supporting cross-border operations, preferably Middle East/Saudi Arabia.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• ERP experience (SAP or similar) is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work with stakeholders across different countries and functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end closing entries for Singapore and Saudi Arabia entities, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Review general ledger transactions for proper recording.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for Singapore and Saudi Arabia entities.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support annual statutory audits and financial statements preparation.
• Prepare corporate tax computations and support tax compliance.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns within deadlines.
• Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany accounting.
• Contribute to finance process improvements and controls.
• Act as Finance Business Partner to Saudi Arabia subsidiary and provide financial guidance.
