Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Associate, Global Expansion in the CEO Office to drive end-to-end expansion into new APAC markets from strategy through licensing to launch readiness.

You will work with senior leaders to solve regulatory, product, and operational challenges, define market-entry plans, and build scalable processes and AI-powered tools to accelerate launches while ensuring governance and cross-functional alignment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in strategy consulting (MBB or equivalent), regulatory/financial services law, or strategy/expansion roles in fintech/payments.
• Proven ability to contribute to multi-stakeholder programs with governance cadences and updates.
• Strong operating discipline to structure multi-workstream programs and manage dependencies.
• Familiarity with using AI tools for regulatory research, licence mapping, competitive analysis, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Support new country expansion strategy across APAC and market prioritization.
• Evaluate licensing paths, entity structures, and commercial models for each market.
• Shape the product roadmap by translating regulatory/licensing requirements into scope.
• Assist executive decision-making on market prioritization, launch readiness and investments.
• Develop operating templates and dashboards for market entry using AI-assisted research and automation.
• Help run go/no-go governance with cross-functional sign-offs for launches.
• Contribute to priority CEO Office initiatives beyond core market launches.
