Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeller to define and maintain enterprise data models across business domains, establishing standards and guiding the migration toward a globally integrated data model. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable data structures, drive governance, and provide technical leadership across global teams.

Qualifications

Typically 12+ years of enterprise data modelling experience.
Proven ability to develop enterprise and domain data models and documentation.
Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and requirements analysis.
Experience defining modelling standards and driving adoption across domains.
Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and data quality.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain enterprise data models across domains.
Govern data modelling standards, naming conventions, and lifecycles.
Lead global harmonisation of entities, relationships, and reference structures.
Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data structures.
Drive governance, quality, and assurance for strategic modelling decisions.
Lead complex modelling initiatives from discovery to maintenance.
Provide technical leadership and coaching to teams.
