Job summary

sggovterp is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager (International Relations) to support development and implementation of IR policies and strategies to engage countries and international organisations, advancing Singapore’s civil aviation interests.

The role covers policy analysis of global aviation developments, driving regional engagement, preparing position papers for ICAO-related work, and coordinating events and high-level visits with CAAS principals.

• Strong analytical, research, and organising skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Prior experience in international relations, the government sector and/or being part of a major international event would be advantageous, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide policy recommendations by developing IR policies and strategies for approval, considering Divisions and Ministries.
• Analyse aviation developments and policies worldwide that could impact Singapore.
• Drive engagement strategies for the assigned region.
• Develop position papers on civil aviation issues with international implications, in consultation with other Divisions.
• Support CAAS Divisions and Permanent Mission in ICAO-related work and ICAO Council activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with local and international stakeholders.
• Plan and organise events of various scales, including high-level visits and international meetings.
• Prepare speeches and briefs, arrange travel, and coordinate on-site engagements.
