Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Manager, Land (GIS Analyst / Spatial Data Specialist) to support development and implementation of spatial data solutions across the engineering functions.

You will work with complex geospatial datasets, design GIS solutions, maintain data quality, automate workflows, and communicate insights to stakeholders while integrating GIS with BIM and other platforms.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Geographic Information Systems, Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of GIS concepts, spatial analysis techniques, and cartographic principles.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS or QGIS and spatial databases.
• Experience translating datasets into clear, actionable insights.
• Knowledge of Python for automation and spatial analysis would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with BIM software and integration methods would be a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Those without working experience but with relevant academic projects and a strong aptitude for GIS are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Processing and analysing complex spatial datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify patterns that inform decision-making.
• Designing and implementing GIS solutions tailored to specific business needs and operational challenges.
• Creating and maintaining detailed spatial databases, with a strong focus on data quality and integrity.
• Developing automated workflows and tools to streamline and improve the efficiency of spatial data processing.
• Generating comprehensive maps, visualisations, and reports to clearly communicate spatial analysis findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their requirements and propose suitable, practical GIS solutions.
• Supporting the integration of GIS data with other platforms, including BIM systems.
• Documenting technical processes and maintaining up-to-date standard operating procedures.
