The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and a proven track record of developing and implementing solutions that enhance spatial data analysis and management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for enterprise geospatialplatforms and related systems.
- Support architecture design, cloud migration, system upgrades, infrastructuremodernisation, and operational readiness activities.
- Plan and execute GIS platform upgrades, cloud migrations, system refreshes,disaster recovery exercises, and infrastructure security initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions aligned with Governmenttechnology directions, including cloud adoption, enterprise architecturestandards, cybersecurity requirements, secure-by-design frameworks, andmodernisation of legacy systems.
- Design and support cloud-native and hybrid GIS architectures on AWS, Azure,GCC, or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Design GIS integration patterns, including REST APIs, web services, SFTP-baseddata exchanges, authentication and identity management, and system-tosystem integrations.
- Manage geospatial data architectures, including geodatabases, spatial datamodels, metadata management, data governance, and data lifecyclemanagement.
- Conduct technical assessments, solution reviews, sizing exercises, root causeanalysis, and troubleshooting of complex application and infrastructure issues.
- Work with vendors and service providers to manage system implementation,upgrades, support, maintenance, and service delivery.
- Analyse business and technical requirements and develop practical, scalable,and sustainable GIS solutions.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requiredto support enterprise geospatial platforms, systems, and services.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geomatics,Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Technical Lead, GIS SolutionArchitect, GIS Engineer, or equivalent role involving geospatial systems design,implementation, operations, and modernisation.
- Hands-on experience delivering enterprise GIS projects throughout the fullproject lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture design,implementation, testing, migration, deployment, and operations support.
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise GIS platforms, preferably Esri ArcGIS Enterprisecomponents including Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Data Store,ArcGIS Web Adaptor, ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGISDashboards, and ArcGISOnline.
- Experience supporting production-critical GIS platforms with high availability,security, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and performance optimisationrequirements.
- Strong understanding of government security, compliance, and governancerequirements, including risk assessments, security reviews, and operationalreadiness activities.
- Results-oriented with strong stakeholder management, facilitation, andcommunication skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to engagetechnical teams, senior management, vendors, and business stakeholderseffectively.
Technical Skills:
- Enterprise GIS Platforms: ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server,ArcGIS Data Store, ArcGIS Web Adaptor, ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGISDashboards, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro.
- Cloud and Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, GCC, GCC+, hybrid architectures,infrastructure modernisation, high availability, backup, disaster recovery, andperformance optimisation.
- Integration: REST APIs, web services, SFTP-based data exchanges,authentication and identity management, WOG AD, IAM, SSO, and API securityimplementations.
- Databases and Geospatial Data: PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, Oracle,geodatabases, spatial data models, metadata management, data governance,and data lifecycle management.
- GIS Standards and Formats: feature services, map services, WMS, WMTS, WFS,GeoJSON, shapefiles, and related geospatial technologies.
- Automation and Scripting: Python, ArcPy, geoprocessing workflows, and GISautomation.
Good to Have:
- ArcGIS Enterprise administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise on AWS/GCC+ environments.
- Experience in geospatial platform migrations and cloud transformation projects.
- Exposure to Government geospatial platforms and inter-agency data sharinginitiatives.
- Experience managing geospatial products and services used by multipleagencies and external stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Python, ArcPy, geoprocessing workflows, and GISautomation.
- Familiarity with WOG AD, IAM, SSO, and API security implementations.
- Understanding of Government security policies and compliance requirementsfor spatial data and enterprise systems.
