Job summary

MINDEF seeks a candidate to assist in providing timely assessments of geo-strategic and security-related developments to support informed decision-making. You will monitor regional and global defence-news, synthesize context, and conduct research to fill information gaps and validate preliminary judgments.

Applicants with no experience may apply; appointment will be commensurate with experience. Strong written English and analytical abilities are required to communicate findings effectively.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and sense-making skills.
• Excellent written communication skills in English.
• Good appreciation of geo-strategic and security-related developments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor defence and security-related developments in the region and the world.
• Contextualise developments within geo-political frameworks.
• Conduct research and analysis to fill information gaps and validate assessments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure well-substantiated conclusions.
• Produce written assessment papers communicating findings and judgments.
