MediaPlus Digital Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced SEO/GEO Lead to manage a team of specialists and drive comprehensive SEO and GEO strategies for diverse clients in Singapore. The role blends leadership, technical SEO, and client success, including AI-powered optimization and data-driven reporting.

You will oversee onboarding, performance reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with sales and account teams to achieve KPI targets and client satisfaction.

Job description

The SEO/GEO Lead is responsible for managing and developing a team of SEO specialists, implementing comprehensive SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role combines leadership, technical expertise in traditional and AI-powered search, and client management.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management

• Lead, motivate, and train a team of SEO specialists.
• Conduct performance reviews and set objectives in conjunction with the Digital Marketing Manager
• Oversee onboarding and training of new team members
• Responsible for ensuring team members to achieve individual and team KPI’s as determined with DMM
• Develop and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies for our clients
• Stay current with and share SEO trends and algorithm updates
• Conduct website audits and derive action steps for SEO clients based on audit results
• Own backlinking processes and ensure guest post hygiene
• Optimize content for AI-powered search engines and generative AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Claude and Grok etc.)
• Develop citation-worthy content strategies to increase brand visibility in AI-generated responses
• Monitor and analyze brand presence in generative AI answers and establish GEO performance metrics
• Stay current with generative AI model updates and adapt optimization strategies accordingly

Client Relations

• Participate in client pitches and presentations as needed
• Participate in ongoing client conversations to better communicate SEO and GEO processes
• Collaborate with sales and account servicing team to understand clients' goals, and tailor SEO and GEO strategies to meet their needs

Performance and Reporting

• Develop and maintain monthly performance reports
• Monitor team level performance metrics and keep DMM appraised weekly of campaign performance, status, and issues that need to be addressed.
• Ensure quality assurance and timely delivery of work

Process Improvement

• Develop efficient SEO/GEO workflows and processes
• Identify opportunities for automation and tool integration

Key Requirements

• At least 5 years of SEO experience, with at least 2 years in a team-lead or managerial role
• Strong expertise in on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, including audits and backlink strategies
• Working knowledge of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI-powered search platforms (e.g. Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude)
• Experience managing multiple client accounts and collaborating with sales, client servicing, and creative teams
• Proficient in SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, or SEMrush
• Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
