Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cleaning and facility maintenance operations across client premises to meet SLAs and contractual deliverables.
• Maintain NEA licensing, WSH guidelines, and PWM compliance for the cleaning sector.
• Lead tender submissions, contract negotiations, and service proposals with key property managers, developers, and corporate accounts.
• Formulate annual operating budgets, manage departmental P&L, forecast revenue, and monitor cost-control measures across equipment procurement, logistics, and supplies.
• Direct recruitment, manpower allocation, and deployment strategies across supervisory teams and frontline staff; implement training and upskilling programs to drive worker productivity.
• Establish robust QA/QC audit systems, risk assessments, and incident response protocols to maintain high standards of workplace safety and service excellence.
• Evaluate and drive adoption of environmental services technologies, including cleaning robotics and IoT solutions, to optimize operational efficiency.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking General Manager to direct and scale our cleaning and environmental services operations. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors / Managing Director, you will be responsible for end-to-end business operations, commercial growth, budget management, regulatory compliance, and workforce productivity across all commercial, residential, and industrial project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Oversee daily cleaning and facility maintenance operations across all assigned client premises to ensure strict adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs) and contractual deliverables.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with National Environment Agency (NEA) licensing regulations, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines, and the MOM Progressive Wage Model (PWM) for the cleaning sector.
• Business Development & Client Management: Spearhead tender submissions, contract negotiations, and service proposals; develop lasting partnerships with key property managers, developers, and corporate accounts.
• Financial & Budgetary Control: Formulate annual operating budgets, manage departmental P&L, forecast revenue, and monitor cost-control measures across equipment procurement, logistics, and supplies.
• Manpower Planning & Development: Direct recruitment, manpower allocation, and deployment strategies across supervisory teams and frontline staff; implement training and upskilling programs to drive worker productivity.
• Quality Assurance & Safety Standards: Establish robust Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) audit systems, risk assessments, and incident response protocols to maintain high standards of workplace safety and service excellence.
• Innovation & Mechanisation: Evaluate and drive the adoption of environmental services technologies, including cleaning robotics, smart washroom IoT solutions, and mechanized equipment, to optimize operational efficiency.
