Job summary

RMR INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE LIMITED in Singapore seeks a General Manager – Cleaning Services to oversee operations, drive business development, and ensure service delivery across commercial, industrial, and residential cleaning.

You will manage budgets, contracts, and KPI reporting, lead Operations Managers and site teams, and ensure compliance with NEA, MOM, WSH, and other regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or equivalent in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience in cleaning/facilities management or related service industry.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore cleaning industry regulations and best practices.
• Experience managing large operational teams and multiple client sites.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and people management skills.
• Strong communication and client relationship management abilities.
• Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and contract management.
• Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and operations management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company growth and profitability.
• Oversee daily operations of commercial, industrial, residential, and specialized cleaning services.
• Manage contracts, project schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely service delivery.
• Lead and supervise Operations Managers, Site Supervisors, and administrative staff.
• Ensure compliance with NEA, MOM, WSH, and other applicable regulations.
• Establish and monitor quality assurance systems to maintain high cleaning standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and business partners.
• Prepare annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and control operational costs.
• Review tenders, quotations, and service contracts before submission.
• Drive business development initiatives and identify new market opportunities.
• Manage manpower planning, recruitment, training, and employee performance.
• Investigate operational issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor KPIs and prepare management reports.
• Oversee procurement of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and consumables.
• Promote continuous improvement through technology adoption and operational efficiency.
