Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SICCI) invites a seasoned leader to support the CEO and Board in steering SICCI's strategic direction, while leading operations, stakeholder engagement, membership growth, advocacy, and sustainable business development across its entities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business/admin, master's preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience with at least 5 in senior management, ideally in chambers/non-profits.
  • Proven strategic planning, leadership, financial management.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement, partnerships, fundraising, and government relations.
  • Strong governance, grant management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing change.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; AI productivity tools an advantage.

Job Summary

Support the CEO and Board in driving SICCI's strategic direction, while leading operations, stakeholder engagement, membership growth, advocacy, and sustainable business development across its entities and initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic planning, management, and operations of SICCI, including the Secretariat, SME Centre@SICCI, SICCI Capital, and related entities to achieve organisational goals.
  • Develop and implement annual business plans, budgets, and key performance indicators in collaboration with the Board to ensure effective performance tracking.
  • Drive membership growth, engagement, retention, and deliver value-added programmes and services that meet member needs.
  • Plan and execute conferences, trade missions, networking events, business forums, training programmes, awards, and other Chamber initiatives to enhance member value and visibility.
  • Represent SICCI in engagements with government agencies, embassies, trade associations, industry partners, members, and the wider business community to strengthen relationships and influence.
  • Lead advocacy efforts by conducting research, gathering industry feedback, preparing policy papers and submissions, and representing members’ interests to relevant government agencies.
  • Drive business development, sponsorship, fundraising, partnerships, and revenue-generating initiatives to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
  • Oversee financial management including budgeting, management reporting, investments, procurement, contracts, property management, and risk management to safeguard organisational assets.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, governance, regulatory, and grant requirements while providing strategic support to the Board, EXCO, and Board Committees.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with members, corporate partners, educational institutions, community organisations, and international stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Secretariat team to foster a high-performance, collaborative, and service-oriented culture.
  • Drive organisational transformation, digitalisation, continuous improvement, and strategic initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and innovation.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Directors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Marketing, Public Policy, Law, or related discipline; a Master's Degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in senior management or equivalent leadership roles. Experience in Chambers of Commerce, Trade Associations, Non-Profit Organisations, Government Agencies, or Business Associations is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, organisational leadership, financial management, and business development.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, fundraising, sponsorship acquisition, and government relations.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, board administration, grant management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing organisational change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini) is an added advantage.
  • Committed, proactive, and able to work effectively in a dynamic stakeholder environment.
