Fireworks is seeking an AI Field Engineer to embed with enterprise clients, turning complex AI problems into production-ready solutions. You’ll ship code, run benchmarks, and architect deployments while engaging with executives.

Qualifications

5+ years in a hands-on, customer-facing technical role.
Shipped production code in a customer production environment.
Strong Python skills; Kubernetes and infrastructure engineering experience.
Working knowledge of the LLM stack: inference trade-offs, model serving, fine-tuning workflows.
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying models on GPU infrastructure.
Exceptional communication: run discovery calls, present to VPs, debug latency with engineers.

Responsibilities

Build end-to-end POCs and MVPs with customer teams using their codebases and infra.
Architect inference foundations and scale deployments without infrastructure bottlenecks.
Run load tests, establish latency and throughput baselines for real customer traffic.
Deploy and validate new model families across inference frameworks.
Guide customers on model selection and fine-tuning strategies (SFT, DPO, RFT).
Own the technical relationship from first engagement to production deployment, on-site with customers.
