Job summary

Fireworks AI, Inc. is seeking an Applied Machine Learning Engineer to bridge cutting-edge AI research and real-world applications in a customer-facing role. You will develop, fine-tune, and operationalize ML models, driving business value and enhanced user experiences.

You’ll collaborate with GTM teams, build PoCs, design and deploy AI-powered apps, and contribute to platform features and model enablement, while optimizing performance for enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role, with a strong preference for customer-facing roles.
• Robust coding skills, preferably Python.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and execute complex technical projects with a focus on customer success.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in dynamic, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with GTM team (Account Executives & Solutions Architects) to ensure smooth integration and deployment of ML solutions.
• Build and present PoCs to demonstrate capabilities of our AI technology.
• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI-powered applications for customer needs.
• Contribute to the internal ML platform, adding features and resolving issues.
• Integrate and enable new machine learning models into client environments.
• Improve system performance, efficiency, and scalability of deployed models and apps.
• Work with partners to enable joint AI solutions and collaboration.
