Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to work directly with business units and leverage our enterprise GenAI platform to deliver high-impact AI and automation solutions.

You will partner with users to translate needs into well-scoped solutions, driving delivery from discovery to production rollout, adoption, and handover. Expect hands-on backend work, APIs, and secure engineering across data and knowledge integration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering, with production ownership.
• Proficiency in Python or another modern backend language; API design and async processing.
• Relational DB experience, preferably PostgreSQL; data pipelines and vector retrieval knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Embed with business units to understand workflows and translate needs into use cases.
• Build AI workflows and agentic systems using Python-based frameworks.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and integrations with secure, scalable design.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and access controls across systems.
• Own production readiness, rollout, and knowledge transfer.
