We welcome engineers with strong C++ and C# skills, experience with Unreal Engine or Unity, and a track record in shipped titles. Collaboration across disciplines and distributed teams is essential in this contract role.

Qualifications

• Professional software engineering experience in games or real-time interactive development.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and C# with experience in large C++ codebases.
• Experience with Unreal Engine and/or Unity; Perforce or similar VCS.
• Experience contributing to at least one shipped game.

Responsibilities

• Investigate technical issues reported by developers and perform initial analysis to identify the likely cause.
• Apply corrective measures where appropriate, including fixing or rolling back broken compilation or build issues.
• Provide operational guidance to developers to help unblock their work, for example directing them to a stable or usable build.
• Escalate and route issues to the appropriate system owners when further specialist investigation is required.
• Work closely with engineers, designers, artists, and other disciplines to support development and maintain a high-quality product.
• Test, debug, and refine systems and features throughout the development cycle.
• Estimate own tasks and deliver high-quality code according to agreed schedules.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and development standards.
